Howard to confront Sharon on live TV

No more beating around the bush!

Howard Stern has vowed to confront fellow judge Sharon Osbourne on live TV about her recent decision to quit “America’s Got Talent.”

“I am going to talk to her about it when I get on the show,” he revealed last week on his Sirius XM radio show. “I would say ‘Hey, Sharon, let’s talk about whether you are staying or going [because of] this thing with Jack.”

“I think it would be compelling television.”

“Talent” returns tonight for its first new show in three weeks.

During that time, Osbourne and NBC have been hammering each other in a war of words over her claims that the network discriminated against her son Jack, who was recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

The Post broke the story last week that Osbourne would not return to “AGT” next season because she was incensed at how she said the network “handled” the decision not to hire her son.

Stern, reading on the air from The Post, told listeners “maybe they will work it out, because I do enjoy working with Sharon, but it sounds like she’s really pissed off!”

Stern also suggested that the ratings-challenged talent show should scrap the guest musical acts from its weekly results show and allow him to interview the judges instead.

“Instead of some of those musical acts [and] guests, I would rather sit there and talk to my fellow judges and Nick,” he said. “Give me a two- or three-minute window . . . when something is going on.”

But he concedes, it may not happen.

“All they want me to do is judge,” he told listeners.

Things had not been going well between Osbourne and NBC even before The Post interview.

Earlier, Sharon admitted that she was not yet invited back for next season.

Stern — who is in his first year with the show — claims he was already asked to return, but hasn’t yet made up his mind.

A rep for Stern could not be reached yesterday for comment.
