Flying Brooklyn fruit injured my melon: lawsuit

She got hit in the melon — with a melon.

A Brooklyn woman says she was thumped by flying fruit outside a Bensonhurst produce stand in June 2009.

Grace Di’turi says the airborne watermelon attack unfolded as she walked along 86th Street and workers for Big Apple Produce who were unloading a delivery began firing the heavy green missiles to each other.

Di’turi fell when she was struck by the fruit and hit her head on the concrete, landing her in the hospital, she claims in a Brooklyn Supreme Court lawsuit.

The workers should have known “that throwing watermelons across a public sidewalk . . . was dangerous and unsafe,” court papers claim.

Di’turi is seeking unspecified damages. The fruit stand could not be reached for comment.
