The Bronx

One young man was shot dead and another wounded early yesterday outside a Bronxdale housing project, police said.

Adrian Garcia, 25, and an unidentified 20-year-old were boozing it up on a bench near the Pelham Parkway Houses at about 1 a.m. when a gang of thugs approached and one pulled a gun, cops said.

Garcia, who had been charged with assault just three months ago, was shot in the neck and died at the scene.

The 20-year-old, who has prior arrests for assault and robbery, was shot in the leg and was listed as being in stable condition last night at Jacobi Hospital, police said.

The shooter fled.

It was not immediately known what sparked the violence.

A man in is suspected of burglarizing a Morrisania apartment building’s management office, police said.

He allegedly slipped into the building, on Elton Avenue near East 161st Street at 5 p.m. Aug. 10 and swiped construction and computer equipment.

Manhattan

A pedestrian darting across traffic on the FDR Drive in the dark of night was hit by a car and left fighting for his life, police said.

A southbound 2006 Nissan struck the 36-year-old man on the stretch of the FDR near East 25th Street at about 10:45 p.m. Saturday.

He was listed as being in critical condition last night at Bellevue Hospital.

The Nissan’s 65-year-old driver remained at the scene and was not charged with a crime, police said.

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing 70-year-old Richmond Hill woman who suffers from dementia.

Phinelie Jean-Francois was last seen Saturday at 1 p.m. in her home on 101st Street near Park Lane South.

She was wearing a red short-sleeved shirt, a blue denim skirt and black slippers, cops said.

Staten Island

He was all Jacked up.

A half-finished bottle of Jack Daniels whiskey was found in the car of a drunken motorist who had just been stopped for speeding on the Verrazano Bridge, authorities said.

Christopher Roman, 25, was clocked allegedly doing 70 mph in a 2012 Nissan Altima at about 4 a.m. on Aug. 17.

The officers who pulled him over near the toll plaza said they quickly realized that Roman reeked of alcohol and was wobbly on his feet.

He was charged with DWI after registering a .212 blood-alcohol content — nearly three times the state’s .08 legal limit, cops said.

The officers noted that they found the bottle of whiskey right near a bottle of Heineken.

She was working, all right — on a scam, authorities say.

A West Brighton woman allegedly bilked the state Department of Labor out of $7,200 in unemployment benefits.

Christine Farrell claimed not to have a job while receiving financial assistance from June 15 to Oct. 11, 2009, court papers say.

But investigators later learned that she was, in fact, working at the time, although court records don’t indicate where.

Farrell, 46, was arrested Aug. 16 and charged with grand larceny and falsifying business records, said a spokesman for DA Dan Donovan.

A drug dealer from Oakwood sold prescription pills in front of his own home to an undercover cop, authorities said.

Anthony Calandriello, 29, made $110 peddling the painkiller Roxicodone and the anti-anxiety drug Alprazolam outside his Grayson Street home at about 4 p.m. Aug. 16, according to court papers.

But once the alleged deal had gone down, so did Calandriello. He and alleged accomplice Dennis Norwood, 26, were cuffed and carted off on drug-related charges.

Brooklyn

Two men are wanted for three armed holdups in Brooklyn, police said.

In each, the robbers barged into businesses — guns in hand — and forced employees to lie on the ground before binding their hands.

They then made off with cash and other property.

They hit twice in Flatlands, striking Sirus Car Approval, at 1942 Utica Ave., on June 20 and MB Vineyards, at 2388 Nostrand Ave., on July 11, police said.

They also victimized the Interboro Auto Mall, at 1604 Bushwick Ave. in Bushwick, on Aug. 1, the cops added.
