Wacky “Top Gun” star Tom Cruise has agreed to pay $400,000 a year in child support to his daughter Suri as part of a divorce agreement with ex-wife Katie Holmes.

Cruise must foot the bill for the 6-year-old over the next 12 years, making for a total support payout of $4.8 million over that time, according to TMZ.com.

The sum comes out to $33,333 a month for Suri’s care — and Cruise still has to cough up additional dough for medical expenses, insurance and education until she reaches 18, the Web site said.

But Cruise can handle the payments. The “Cocktail” star is worth a reported $250 million.

As part of the agreement, Holmes gets legal custody and primary residential custody of Suri and was also able to put restrictions on the child’s exposure to Scientology, the Web site reported.

The duo formerly known as TomKat also agreed that Suri will not attend a “residential school” from now through her high-school years, meaning she can’t be sent to any boarding school, like Scientology’s Sea Org.

The former “Dawson’s Creek” star gets zip for herself and was shut out of Cruise’s nine-figure fortune by a prenuptial agreement she had signed, according to the divorce settlement.

But she could have fought in court for a much more lucrative child-support amount.

The settlement heads off the bitter legal battle that seemed certain when Holmes filed for divorce on June 29, amid reports that she was concerned about her daughter’s future — and her husband’s connections to Scientology.

But the couple reached a settlement in a remarkably short time, less than two weeks.

They said then in a joint statement:

“We are committed to working together as parents to accomplish what is in our daughter Suri’s best interests.”

“We want to keep matters affecting our family private and express our respect for each other’s commitment to each of our respective beliefs and support each other’s roles as parents.”

A Manhattan judge signed off on the divorce this week, and the official sealed agreement was impounded, meaning it will be locked away at the court on Centre Street.

After Holmes caught Cruise off-guard when she filed for divorce, she took up residence in a $12,500-a-month Chelsea apartment.

Page Six exclusively reported Thursday that Holmes’ fashion line, Holmes & Yang, will be shown at Lincoln Center during New York Fashion Week.
