A 28-year-old mother was killed last night and at least three others — including a 13-year-old boy — were wounded when a gunman opened fire on a Brooklyn street, witnesses and police sources said.

The violence erupted just after 9 p.m. when the assailant started squeezing off rounds on Clarkson Avenue in Flatbush, sources said.

The victim, Fatima Gordon, had been returning from grocery shopping with her mother when she was shot, sources added.

“Her birthday is Saturday. She was going to be 29,” said the victim’s aunt, Janice Thomas. “Those bastards shot my niece!”

It was unclear early this morning whether Gordon was gunned down trying to protect a relative or caught in the crossfire as two groups fired upon one another.

Gordon, who residents said had a 5-year-old son named Justin, was “hit because she was near the intended target,” who was not identified, according to one source.

“Witnesses are giving conflicting accounts so we’re still trying to sort it out,” another source said.

“I heard five shots,” said resident Nogga Schwartz, 27. “I ran outside and saw Fatima lying on her side. Her mother was holding her, cradling her head.

“I asked her to stay with us. She blinked and then coughed up blood.”

The three other victims include a 13-year-old boy with a graze wound to the back, a 29-year-old man shot in the side and a 26-year-old man hit in the arm and buttocks. They were in stable condition at Kings County Hospital.
