Over at the Helmut Lang show in Chelsea, it was enchantment under the sea with a modern, sleek twist. Departing from a typical palate of black, whites and earth tones, the collection mimicked the colorful reds, corals and blues of the ocean floor.
But the trademark deconstructed silhouettes remained, looking all wet in fabrics that were glossed, sheer and slick. Boxy jackets, trousers, A-line skirts and voluminous shorts were done in blue, dark grey and red jacquards, while sheer panels punctuated many of the dresses.
