Pudgy purse-snatcher tossed from LES bar

A pudgy purse-snatcher in a white frock swiped a bag from the bar at trendy Arlene’s Grocery before the drunken thief was tossed from the Lower East Side club, police said.

The long-haired looter (pictured here) slipped into the bar unnoticed but made a scene on the way out, according to workers there. An employee who was working at the hipster hangout on Stanton Street that night said the woman was ousted.

“She got thrown out for being drunk,” he said. “Two women said their purses were stolen.”

The purses had hung on hooks by the bar, according to workers. The woman was caught on surveillance camera at Piano’s Bar around the corner on Ludlow Street after the theft around 12:50 a.m., Aug. 7, according to workers from Arlene’s.

The ransacked bags were found on Hoboken-bound PATH train, sources said.

Police are asking for the public’s help identifying the 25-year-old suspect who allegedly made off with a bag, a cell phone, a wallet, cash and credit cards.
