Divorce lawyer Dominic Barbara busted for violating protection order against ex: sources

Born-again lawyer Dominic Barbara’s comeback plan suffered a setback yesterday – when he was busted for violating an order of protection against his ex-wife Leslie Barbara, sources said.

He was arrested at the Garden City Hotel and was expected to be arraigned on a charge of contempt of court today.

Leslie Barbara declined to comment but her law partner, Sid Davidoff, said her ex was locked up for violating a court-issued stay-away order.

“This is an unfortunate situation,’’ Davidoff said. “Events have taken place which required Leslie to report this to the police and to the district attorney.’’

Dominic Barbara lost his Long island mansion and a fortune and split to Florida last year after financial difficulties – and angry client complaints about lots of money they claim he failed to return to them.

Barbara was suspended from practice of law last year and two months ago told The Post he had been hooked on prescription pills and tried to commit suicide – but was saved by Jesus.

This week he said he hoping to return to his law practice soon and was set to marry for the fourth time – to Pamela Gorin, 37.
