Car hits Bx. home, KO’s power

A car carrying three men as it raced down a Bronx street hit a speed bump and flew into a fence in front of a home yesterday — causing two electric poles to catch fire, authorities and witnesses said.

The gray Mitsubishi Lancer went airborne at about 5:35 p.m. on East 225th Street.

“I was playing Wii, and I heard the car speeding,” said Raynaldo Mills, 11. “I looked through my window, and it came up on the curb.”

The collision knocked out the house’s power.

“The whole building was shaking,” Raynaldo said.

“There were three guys in the cars, and they all ran. The driver had a cast on his hands. He ran back to the car to get his hat.”

One person was taken to Jacobi Hospital for treatment of nonlife-threatening injuries, according to the FDNY.

It was not clear whether that person was one of the car’s passenger or a pedestrian.
