Killer couture

Her enemies are hideous zombies and she is one of the most beautiful women in the world, kicking ass with the grace and poise of a runway model. Perhaps that is why Milla Jovovich’s “Resident Evil” franchise, despite being dismissed by critics, has been insanely profitable and spawned a fifth chapter, Friday’s “Retribution.” In the video-game-inspired series, Kiev-born Jovovich, 36, plays Alice, who battles against evil biopharmaceutical corporation Umbrella and its unfortunate byproducts, including undead Dobermans and mutants.

Jovovich started her career as a model at the age of 9 and has long been known for her sylph-like presence in edgy sci-fi and fantasy movies. Befitting a woman who’s been on the cover of Vogue, Glamour and Harper’s Bazaar, Jovovich has been putting her stamp on her character’s costumes ever since she appeared in 1991’s “Return to the Blue Lagoon.”

“I’ve been in the fashion industry since I was a kid,” Jovovich tells The Post. “And I love to draw. I always had a nose into the design when it came to costumes.” In addition to acting, in 2003 she started a clothing line, Jovovich-Hawk (now shuttered), with her best friend.

When it comes to the “Resident Evil” films, she says, “I always try to make it iconic, like something you’d put in a comic book.” We give her latest outfit, a killer catsuit studded with hardware, a big thumbs-up on that score. Here are Jovovich’s thoughts on some of her most memorable get-ups.
