OWS morn of mayhem

The 99 percent is back — and bent on wreaking havoc on your morning commute tomorrow to mark the first anniversary of Occupy Wall Street.

About 500 protesters gathered in Washington Square Park yesterday to plot mayhem in the Financial District.

Organizers said a “swirl of mobile occupations” will begin at 6 a.m. in Zuccotti Park.

By 7 a.m., they plan to head to the New York Stock Exchange for a “peaceful sitting wall,” while others will occupy intersections throughout the area and disrupt traffic.

“All around the Financial District there will be people screaming about the greed of Wall Street and how much pain that greed has caused,” said Bill Dobbs, media liaison for OWS.

The ruckus got an early start yesterday as cops clashed with demonstrators marching around lower Manhattan, leading to at least 20 arrests, the National Lawyers Guild said.
