Holmes thrives without Cruise control

Fashionably Kate

Scientology escapee Katie Holmes showed off her clothing line in front of just 150 people at The Box in Lincoln Center yesterday.

“It’s an honor to present here, and we have been showing quietly before,” said Holmes, who left daughter Suri at home. “This felt like a natural step. It’s not a full-blown fashion show.”

At the presentation, a relaxed looking Holmes wore a white silk vest, black trousers and black leather jacket.

Her favorite piece? That would be a spider-print dress. “I love that a girl would wear that dress for a prom, or a 65-year-old woman would wear it for a wedding.”

Notorious K.I.M.

Rapper Lil’ Kim made a fashionably late appearance at Wednesday’s Betsey Johnson show sporting a slightly askew platinum-blond wig and a skintight striped dress. She still found time to share exclusively with Buzz her latest celeb collaboration: “I am telling you first that Kelly Osbourne and I are working on a record together! It’s titled, ‘The Bitch Is Back.’ It is a blend of British rock and rap and you won’t believe your ears when you hear it! I have been talking with Elton John as well.”

Tiny dancer, meet Queen Bitch.

Cory watch

Hipster poster-girl Cory Kennedy (inset) looked like she was having a fine time at the Muse magazine party co-hosted by performance artist Marina Abramovic Tuesday night, despite being admittedly exhausted.

“Oh my God, it’s been crazy. I’ve had like 2½ hours of sleep a night . . . but you get this energy you can only get from Fashion Week.”

Although her gaunt frame elicited stares at the Alice + Olivia presentation on Monday — a friend expressed concern to Buzz that the supposedly sober Kennedy is off the wagon — the Nylon writer and model insisted all is dandy: “There’s no truth to that . . . I’m doing fine now.”

She’s working on a new project with Olsen-twin shopping site, StyleMint — but it’s sister Ashley whose closet she’d most like to raid.

“She has things you can wear for years and years rather than something that’s, you know, about the trends.”

Take a chill pill

VJ-turned-designer Daisy Fuentes always tweets responsibly. “I can’t say that I’ve had a mishap,” she told Buzz at the Daisy Fuentes for Kohl’s show at Style360 on Wednesday. But she reserved no judgments for Alison Pill of “The Newsroom” who tweeted a topless self-portrait earlier in the day (see Page Six for more details). “You can put that out there if you want that kind of attention!”
