T-Mac to work out for Knicks on Thursday: report

The Knicks have one guaranteed roster spot left, and Tracy McGrady is hoping to land it.

The two-time NBA scoring champ is working out with the Knicks on Thursday, according to a Yahoo! Sports report. McGrady played 24 games with the Knicks in 2010 after being acquired from the Rockets in a cap-saving move to try and land LeBron James that offseason. McGrady, 33, has yet to find a guaranteed deal and already worked out for the Spurs this week.

The report says McGrady may have settle for a “make-good” training-camp invite or play overseas, perhaps in China. McGrady played in 52 games last year for the Hawks, averaging 5.3 points over 16.1 minutes.
