Happy feet

Reality TV may be in Elmo’s future.

“Elmo would love to do ‘Dancing With the Stars’!” the fuzzy, red kids’ magnet told The Post yesterday. “That’s so cool, because Elmo loves to dance.

“Elmo just likes to learn to do all different kinds of dances.”

The undisputed star of “Sesame Street” has a new segment, “Elmo the Musical,” beginning Monday, replacing the long-running “Elmo’s World” on the famed PBS Kids show.

Elmo, who claims to be 3 1/2 even though he’s been on TV for nearly 30 years, will teach young fans the STEAM basics — science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics — through song and dance.

But it may not end there.

The new project could be a stepping stone to more musical-theater work for the budding crooner.

“Elmo would love to do Broadway!” he says with a giggle. “Elmo got to see ‘Lion King.’ It was good!”

“Elmo’s always loved to sing, that’s always what Elmo’s loved to do.”

Fans can now keep up-to-date with the best-known puppet in America on Twitter.

“Oh, Elmo does tweets: @SesameStreet,” he says.

“But Elmo’s parents help, because Elmo doesn’t know how to spell very well.”
