$weet deal for Del Posto staff

Workers at celebrity chef Mario Batali’s Meatpacking District eatery, Del Posto, settled a lawsuit against the restaurant yesterday with an agreement that gives them $1.15 million along with paid vacation and sick days.

Del Posto denied the workers’ allegations, which included tip misappropriation and lost overtime, said The Restaurant Opportunities Center of New York, which had been working with the 31 employees. A lawyer for Del Posto declined to comment.

The agreement gives all non-managerial Del Posto employees three paid sick days and five paid vacation days per year.
