Gambler robbed of winnings at gunpoint

A gambler’s winning streak came to an abrupt end last week when he was robbed of his winnings at gunpoint.

Paul Cepeda, 19, managed to triple his $100 investment on roulette at the Resorts World Casino and cashed out around 4 a.m., Sept. 16.

“The guy came up to me with a gun and asked me for my money. Then he goes through my pockets and takes my money and ID. Then he takes $60 from my friend.”

Police believe the suspect is in his 20s and about 6-feet-tall. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, an orange, blue and white argyle sweater, a black Phoenix Suns cap and white sneakers with black shoe laces.
