AA fliers in a real ‘fix’

American Airlines is canceling dozens of Boeing 757 flights because repairs to passenger seat anchors on 48 jets this week didn’t work.

The seats are attached to tracks on the airplane cabin floors. American said fixes are needed to a “seat lock plunger mechanism” that secures the units to their tracks.

American canceled 68 flights yesterday because of the problem, an aviation blogger reported.

The airline did not confirm the figure.
