Giants blitz

HERO

Osi Umenyiora might want to think twice about continuing his verbal feud with LeSean McCoy, who took out his simmering anger over an offseason insult from the Giants defensive end by blistering the Big Blue defense for 123 yards on 23 carries — with 121 of those yards coming in the second half. The fact most of McCoy’s yards appeared to come from Umenyiora’s side of the field was even more embarrassing.

ZERO

One week after coming up huge in the Giants’ win over Carolina, Ramses Barden was the goat last night by drawing an offensive interference penalty for pulling down Nnamdi Asomugha on the final drive, pushing Big Blue out of great field-goal position for what would have been the winning kick.

UNSUNG HERO

DeSean Jackson had been mostly quiet for the Eagles this season, but the speedy wideout sliced and diced the Giants’ depleted secondary with six catches for 99 yards and his first touchdown of the year last night. Jackson did most of his damage in the first half, keeping the Eagles in it while their running game sputtered.
