A cyclist was killed this morning in Brooklyn in what police believe to be a hit and run accident, authorities said.
The 26-year-old victim was found on the ground at the intersection of Metropolitan and Stewart Avenues at 5:15 a.m., police said.
The victim was suffering from a severe head injury and was rushed to Woodhull Hospital where he died, police said.
Investigators initially thought the man had fallen off the bike, but they now believe he may have been hit by a car.
