Jurors see bus-kill vid

Crime-scene video of the horrific bus crash that killed 15 people on their way home from a casino trip last year shows a sad mix of suffering and loss.

Jurors in the Bronx manslaughter trial of bus driver Ophadell Williams saw a video showing scattered shoes, piles of clothing and splotches of blood inside a bus that hit a guard rail and slid along I-95 at daybreak on March 12, 2011.

Florence Wong, whose father, Don Lee, 76, died in the wreckage, looked along with rapt jurors at a video that brought them closer to the horror.

“I was looking for something that belonged to my dad,” Wong said during a break. “I thought I saw what might be his shoes. But I’m not sure. Maybe it’s better that I didn’t see it.”

Williams watched passively as passengers relived the nightmare.

A state police investigator, George MacLarty, said the tragic scene featured a bus full of ringing cellphones that went unanswered, and bags of food and blood on everything, including the signpost that sheared off the bus’ roof.

MacLarty said the bus slid on its side for 100 feet before it stopped.
