Dogged pup finds master

A Long Island husky named Zander must have missed his master — a lot.

The pooch slipped out of his Bay Shore house at dawn last week. Zander, who loves to run, went about 1 1/2 miles, until he got to Good Samaritan Medical Center in West Islip.

His owner, John Dolan, was laid up there with a leg ailment.

Dolan got a call from a stranger who was across the street from the hospital with his dog. The man had gotten Dolan’s number from Zander’s license tag.

Wife Priscilla said she believes Zander really was looking for him, although Dolan concedes it could just be a coincidence.
