Cheerleader-turned-teacher can’t wait for 1st real date with former student

INDEPENDENCE, Ky. — The former Cincinnati Bengals cheerleader who finally confessed this week to having sex with her then-17-year-old student says she’s looking forward to the couple’s first real date.

In an exclusive interview with The Daily, Sarah Jones says she still hasn’t hit the town with former student Cody York, now 18, who she held hands with as the controversial couple left a Covington, Ky., courtroom on Monday.

Jones, 27, dodged jail time by pleading guilty to reduced sexual misconduct charges relating to her sexual relationship with York while she was his English teacher at a Kentucky high school.

“We still haven’t been on our first date yet,” Jones giggled to The Daily on Thursday.

Jones, who resigned from her job at Dixie Heights High School after the sex scandal erupted last November, said her young lover was suffering from a bout of “anxiety” because of the intense publicity.

She added that her parents disapprove of the relationship that has made headlines around the world.
