FAA investigating after helicopter crashes on Westchester County farm land

YORKTOWN — Police say a helicopter has crashed on a farm in Westchester County, but no one was injured.

Police in the town of Yorktown say the chopper crashed Friday evening at about 6 p.m. while making an emergency landing at Kitchawan Farm. Two people were on board the helicopter at the time of the crash.

There were no injuries. A spokeswoman for the Federal Aviation Administration tells The Journal News that a malfunctioning fuel pump may have caused the crash.

Yorktown is about 35 miles north of New York City.
