MLB: Fisk charged with DUI in Illinois corn field

Carlton Fisk was charged with a DUI on Monday in New Lenox, Ill., after he found unconscious behind the wheel of his vehicle in the middle of a corn field. Police said an open vodka bottle was inside the vehicle of the 64-year-old Hall of Fame catcher.

Dodgers reliever Kenley Jansen underwent surgery on his heart to return it to normal rhythm. Jansen spent a month on the disabled list during the 2011 season with an irregular heartbeat. …. GOLF: Harrington leads at PGA Grand Slam

Padraig Harrington, who replaced Ernie Els after the British Open champ withdrew with an ankle injury, made seven birdies for a 5-under 66 yesterday at Port Royal to take a two-shot lead over Masters champion Bubba Watson going into today’s final round of the 36-hole PGA Grand Slam of Golf in Bermuda. U.S. Open champ Webb Simpson had a 69. Keegan Bradley, who replaced PGA champ Rory McIlroy, rounded out the four-man field with a 72.
