Eighties heartthrob actor Scott Baio talks about his new show, “See Dad Run” on an all-new Name Check.
With just a little bit of gray in his hair, actor Scott Baio doesn’t look too far removed from his ’80s television sitcom powerhouse characters on “Charles in Charge” and “Happy Days.”
Since then, Baio has had a few stints on television. He also went into the reality TV genre where his journey from a bachelor to husband was documented. But, it has been a while since Baio lead a scripted TV comedy. Now, he is joining Nick at Night with a weekly family sitcom called “See Dad Run.”
Baio stopped by The Post’s Name Check with Michael Riedel to discuss his new show about a television father learning to be a real dad. The actor also talked about his Brooklyn beginnings, almost quitting acting at twelve-years-old and his big break in Hollywood.
