Florida (-6 1/2) vs. Georgia (in Jacksonville): Constantly undervalued Gators — undefeated against my third-toughest schedule — are 5-0 in Steele Trap selections. Florida hasn’t lost back-to-back “World’s largest cocktail party” games since 1988-89 and has only dropped four since that time. Comparing the four common foes (South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky and Vanderbilt) Florida has outscored them an average of 38-12 while Georgia has outscored them by an average of 34-27.

Texas Tech (+7) at KANSAS STATE: The talk around Manhattan this week will be that “We’re No. 3, and if we win out, and this team loses, we can be in the national championship.” That’s a dangerous situation going against Tommy Tuberville, who has coached his teams to five upsets versus Top 5 opponents in his last six seasons. Another notch in Tuberville’s upset belt!

LAST WEEK (NCAA): 1-1.

SEASON: 8-8.
