Buyer for RFK home

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has found a buyer for the Westchester home where his wife hanged herself, getting close to its $3.9 million asking price, sources said.

RFK Jr.’s wife, Mary, committed suicide in a barn on the Bedford estate in May, shortly after he filed for divorce. RFK has been living in a rental in Mt. Kisco.

But despite what some brokers saw as bad karma, the buyer was smitten with the 14-room home’s layout, green technology, and rooms designed for entertaining.

Located on South Bedford Road and dubbed the “Green House,” the mansion was on the market for about a week.

The 10,000-square-foot home, designed by Mary Kennedy, has a geo-thermal heating and cooling system, energy efficient appliances, and fiber optic lighting.

It’s “a testament to Mary’s genius,” a source said.

The home’s living room, formal dining room, and library all have fireplaces. It’s also equipped with a sauna and elevator.

It’s spread over ten acres with a swimming pool,
