Now, it’s getting personal.
A former high school basketball coach accused of child rape and kiddie porn possession lashed out at a Queens prosecutor in court today after his charges were upgraded on the basis of new evidence.
“You’re a son of a bitch,” bellowed Kerbet Dixon, a volunteer assistant girls basketball coach at Murry Bergtraum HS after learning he will be re-indicted on additional child porn charges.
Dixon, 47, a suspended Queens housing court officer, was hit earlier this year with a 300-count indictment for allegedly possessing child pornography, and for allegedly having sex with a girl since she was 14 and touching an 8- and 10-year-old.
The new indictment alleges that Dixon showed the child pornography on his computer to the girls before he molested them at his home.
An angry Dixon also invited the prosecutor, Kenneth Appelbaum, to watch a sex video of Dixon and his wife that was also on the computer to get “a lesson.”
Justice Richard Buchter threatened to hold Dixon in contempt before his attorney calmed him down.
A new grand jury will hear the evidence and Dixon said he wants to testify.
