The gingham pinafore and puff-sleeved blouse Dorothy wore in “The Wizard of Oz’’ is about to follow the Yellow Brick Road all the way to the Big Apple.

Judy Garland’s blue-and-white outfit in the 1939 classic, along with three other wardrobe gems, will be making media appearances here Thursday .

They’re among hundreds of costumes and memorabilia that will go under the hammer at Julien’s Auctions in Beverly Hills Nov. 9-10.

Darren Julien, CEO of the auction house, is also bringing along the pale yellow strapless gown Elizabeth Taylor wore in “A Place in the Sun,’’ the green dress with butterfly sleeves Julie Andrews wore in “The Sound of Music’’ and a white racing jacket worn by Steve McQueen.

Dorothy’s dress is the highlight of the auction. It’s expected to fetch between $400,000 and $600,000 — and maybe much, much more. “The sky’s the limit,” said Julien.

“The dress is instantly recognizable,’’ he added. “Everyone knows who wore it and what film it was.’’ And, he said, it’s “one of the only complete’’ Dorothy costumes — with the original pinafore and blouse.

The short-sleeved blouse from “The Wizard of Oz’’ has a label inside reading “Judy Garland 4461.’’ In 1981, it was bought by a New Jersey man to surprise his wife, who loved the movie. The couple, who have remained unidentified, are expecting between $400,000 and $600,000 for it.

Steve McQueen wore this jacket in March 1970 when he set a lap record in his Porsche 908 at the Phoenix International Raceway. Estimate: $40,000 to $60,000

Liz Taylor wore this pale yellow and cream tulle strapless Edith Head confection in 1951’s “A Place in the Sun.’’ Estimated selling price: $20,000 to $30,000

In “The Sound of Music,’’ Julie Andrews wore this demure green dress when she sang “Something Good’’ with co-star Christopher Plummer. Estimated to fetch $40,000 to $60,000
