Police big hits DA on frisks

A top NYPD official took a public swipe at Bronx District Attorney Robert Johnson yesterday, saying he’s told his ranks to dot their i’s and cross their t’s to ensure that stop-and-frisk arrests aren’t tossed by the cut-’em-loose prosecutor.

Chief of Patrol James Hall said there’s an increased emphasis on proper paperwork since Bronx prosecutors began citing simple errors as a reason to drop criminal-trespass cases.

“The Bronx DA doesn’t want to prosecute these cases,” Hall testified in Manhattan federal court.

“No officer wants to arrest someone just to put him through the system and have the DA not prosecute.”
