Being chased down the streets of Yonkers by a guy with a baseball bat. Not on Halloween, of course, but still very scary.

The worst?
One of my mother’s old dresses . . . in third grade. I stepped up to the urinal and proceeded to pee all over the front of the dress. I was not drag-ready.

What’s your favorite scary movie?
“Silence of the Lambs.” The scene where Buffalo Bill is trying to load furniture into his truck and manages to convince his victim to help him. It frightened me deeply because I figured that would be something I would do.
What are your Halloween traditions?
Lots of cheap and nasty candy is a must.
Best Halloween costume you’ve ever worn?
I once went as Vivian from “Pretty Woman” in her post prostitute phase. Jeans, a white T-shirt and a blazer. It was fairy obvious I didn’t plan out a costume.

I may or may not have gone as Superman from ages 12-22.
What’s your favorite scary movie?
My father showed me “The Exorcist” at the age of 12 and it wasn’t the smartest idea… I still check my chest to make sure the words “help me” aren’t on it.

What are your Halloween traditions?
I grew up in New England, and some neighborhoods go all out [with] decorating, zombies jumping out of the ground and grabbing you as you go to ring doorbells. I loved it.

Scariest thing was flying on a small private plane in the middle of two tornados in Oklahoma while I was Miss America. Bumpiest ride ever.
What nightmares do you have?
Recurring nightmare is not graduating high school. That and wandering through an old mansion alone with a creepy woman waiting in the attic.
Who is your favorite classic Halloween character?
Favorite character is Dracula. Very sensual, romantic and powerful.

I cut my bangs at the end of seventh grade. It was a huge risk that could’ve crushed my nonexistent modeling career (fortunately no irreparable damage was done).

[At 3] I was faced with Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” video. I remember watching between my fingers barely able to tear my eyes away from the video. I had nightmares for weeks.
What nightmares do you have?
A band of vikings on horseback is chasing me down. It’s the only recurring dream I’ve had for years.
