*TUNNELS: The Holland and Brooklyn Battery Park, and Queens-Midtown tunnels are closed.
*BRIDGES: The Tappan Zee Bridge is closed. The Throgs Neck Bridge, ï€ Bronx-Whitestone Bridge, ï€ Verrazano-Narrows Bridge, ï€ Henry Hudson Bridge, ï€ Marine Parkway-Gil Hodges Memorial Bridge, The RFK Bridge, Cross Bay Veterans Memorial Bridge and ï€ George Washington Bridge are closed. Bayville Bridge was closed in both directions by Nassau County officials. Mill Hill Road and East Main Street, south of the bridge, was also closed.
*ROADS: The FDR is closed in both directions from Battery to 155th. Cops shut down Cross Bay Boulevard between 163rd and 165th Avenues because even a light rain caused two-foot-high flooding. Flooding has also forced officials to close the Garden State Parkway in both directions south of the Atlantic City Expressway at Exit 38. Connecticut governor Dannel P. Malloy also ordered a ban on trucks and nonemergency vehicles from most highways.
*EVACUATIONS: “Zone A” was ordered to be evacuated by 7 p.m. Sunday night. The zone includes Battery Park City, the Lower East Side, parts of Brooklyn (including Red Hook and Coney Island), the Rockaways in Queens, City Island and parts of the South Bronx and Staten Island.
*HOSPITALS: Staten Island University Hospital, Coney Island Hospital, NYU Medical Center and Veterans Administration Medical Center are all in evacuation zones and have begun coordinating the transfer of patients as needed. Those with elective surgeries and stays should try to reschedule.
*SCHOOLS: All NYC schools and all CUNY, Columbia University and NYU campuses were closed Monday and will be closed Tuesday as well.
*TRANSIT: Subways, buses, Metro-North, LIRR, NJ Transit, PATH and Amtrak service across the Northeast are shut down, as is the Staten Island Ferry. NJ Transit and Amtrak service across the Northeast will remain suspended Tuesday.
*AIRPORTS: NYC-area airports are closed.
*HARBOR: The New York Harbor is closed to cruise ships
*COURTS: State courts in all five boroughs and in Nassau, Suffolk, Orange, Dutchess, Westchester and Putnam counties are closed except for arraignments and emergency applications.
*GOVERNMENT OFFICES: NJ state offices were closed Monday and will be closed Tuesday. NYC government offices are open. Mayor Bloomberg said city workers were supposed to show up.
*MOVIE THEATERS: Major movie-house chains, including AMC, Regal Clearview and City Cinemas, closed their theaters.
*LIBRARIES: All public libraries in the city are closed and will remain closed through Tuesday.
*LANDMARKS: The Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and the 9/11 Memorial are closed.
*PARKS: Parks are closed until further notice.
*THEATERS: All Broadway and off-Broadway shows were cancelled Sunday night and Monday night.
*CASINOS: In New Jersey, Atlantic City’s 12 casinos are shuttered for only the fourth time in the 34-year history of legalized gambling there.
*WALL STREET: The New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq were closed on Monday and will stay shut down on Tuesday. A number of companies that were scheduled to report their quarterly earnings on Monday and Tuesday are delaying these reports.
*BANKS: Banks are closed
*PARKING: Alternate side-parking regulations are suspended citywide Monday and Tuesday. Parking meters are suspended citywide Monday and Tuesday.
*TRASH: There are no trash pickups in evacuation zones, but all other areas will have pickups as conditions allow.
