You would think that seven prison stints might teach a guy something about staying out of trouble, but alleged serial burglar Paul Wise sure seems none the wiser.

The 54-year-old ex-con was collared Wednesday by First Precinct detectives after surveillance video showed him removing an iPad from a 13th-floor office at 160 Broadway, sources said.

“Yeah, that’s me. What am I supposed to do?” he allegedly said when confronted with the footage.

The sources said detectives have also linked him to two burglaries at a Maiden Lane tower, one at 39 Broadway and one at Lenox Hill Hospital on the Upper East Side.

And he’s being eyed for two more, in Kips Bay and Forest Hills, Queens, the sources added.

For the record, Wise is currently charged with burglary and being held on $30,000 bail.

Cops put the brakes on two thieves fond of boosting boxes off SoHo delivery trucks, police sources said.

Manuel Roman, 52, allegedly lifted a package off a UPS truck on Mercer Street on Sept. 13.

David Feliciano, 42, allegedly swiped boxes full of shoes from an unlocked delivery van on Spring Street on Oct. 15.

Both were busted when Roman tried to grab three boxes off a UPS hand truck on East 21st Street in Gramercy Park on Oct. 17, cops said.

Roman, who has twice done time behind bars, was charged with petit larceny and possession of stolen property, records show.

Feliciano, a four-time guest of the state, knew enough to plead guilty to a charge of petit larceny and got off with his latest prison sentence, a mere six months, officials said.

A 25-year-old Williamsbridge man was killed when he crashed his black 2000 Jaguar into a traffic pole, cops said yesterday.

Chrisiano Brown lost control of the wheel heading south on Boston Road near Kingsland Avenue at about 11:15 p.m. Thursday, cops said.

He died at Jacobi Hospital, they added.

Two teens swiping cellphone chargers from a car in Coney Island got the munchies and snacked on trail mix and cookies they found in the glove compartment, authorities said.

Officers on patrol spotted Michael Lewis, 19, and Eric Navarro, 17, rifling through the 2012 Honda Accord outside the O’Dwyer Gardens Houses on West 33rd Street at 2:40 a.m. Tuesday, cops said.

The suspects fled and tried to ditch the evidence but were caught near the scene, prompting Lewis to claim, “We didn’t do anything. We were just reading the Bible,” the arresting officers said.

Lewis and Navarro were charged with petit larceny and possession of stolen property, records show.

A truck driver has surrendered after attacking and robbing his boss in a Williamsburg parking lot over the summer, authorities said.

Samual Thompson, 41, was confronted by his manager at South First Street near Wythe Avenue on July 30 after a number of television sets went missing from a truck he had driven, law-enforcement sources said.

Thompson went berserk, grabbing a wooden board and smashing his boss in the head with it, according to court documents.

He then allegedly stole $1,000 in cash from the man, who had threatened not to pay him.

The manager was taken to Beth Israel Hospital, where he was treated for a broken nose and other injuries and released, the sources said.

Thompson turned himself in Wednesday to face charges of robbery, assault and grand larceny, the records show.

Cops busted a hothead who attacked two friends inside a Prospect Lefferts Gardens real-estate office, authorities said.

Karranch Narine, 38, was hanging out with the man and the woman at 2:10 a.m. Wednesday in the office on New York Avenue near Midwood Street when an argument erupted and turned violent, according to court documents.

He slammed one of the woman’s hands against a wall, then repeatedly punched her in the head, the records show.

He also sprayed the man with a fire extinguisher and bashed him in the head with a hammer, the court papers add.

Narine is charged with assault, menacing and weapon possession, the record shows.

A burglar was caught looting a basement apartment in Brownsville, authorities said.

Alanda Akewright, 45, allegedly broke a window to get into Liberty Avenue pad at 11:50 a.m. Wednesday and ripped off a TV, a keyboard and a wallet, according to court papers.

But the tenant soon returned home and saw Akewright standing on the corner with a blanket covering the stolen goods, the records show.

When confronted, Akewright allegedly bit the tenant on the arm, then ran off.

He was apprehended and taken in on burglary, assault, menacing and other charges, the records show.
