Neighbors share in the horror of UWS stabbing

Marina and Kevin Krim’s Upper West Side neighborhood was awash in tears yesterday as shaken neighbors offered prayers and condolences in the wake of the family’s loss.

Flowers, candles and stuffed animals filled the sidewalk outside the Krims’ West 75th Street apartment building where Lucia, 6, and Leo, 2, were slaughtered Thursday.

“It’s unimaginable,” said Rachel Cedar, who has two little boys. “My heart goes out to the mother and the father and the little 3-year-old. I really wish them peace and to know that the whole community is here to support them.”

Jasmine Rothbard, a mom of three, dropped flowers and noted, “There is camaraderie among the mothers today. Everyone is shocked and wants to know, ‘Why?’ ”

“I’m deeply sorry for their loss,” said Michal Brand-Gold, who attends the JCC where Marina Krim had taken daughter Nessie swimming just before making her horrific discovery Thursday.

“It cuts our hearts.”
