Stones’ fast NJ sellout

“Satisfaction” for Rolling Stones fans will have to come at a hefty price.

The rockers sold out their much-anticipated Dec. 13 and 15 shows at Newark’s Prudential Center within minutes of the tickets’ hitting the market yesterday, arena officials said.

Shut-out fans flooded Twitter with complaints, some claiming the ducats were gobbled up in a single minute or mere seconds.

The high demand sent ticket prices for the “50 and Counting” tour skyrocketing on StubHub and other secondary-market sites.

As of last night, the average ticket was running $1,561 for the first show and $1,557 for the second, said Chris Matcovich of TiqIQ, a firm that tracks secondary-market ticket prices.

The cheapest seats were $339 for Dec. 13, well above their face value of $114.80. Top stage-area seats were running as high as $100,000 for the Dec. 15 show. Their face value is $813.

Prudential Center honchos boasted that the demand was “unprecedented.”

“A legendary band will be playing two epic concerts at Prudential Center,” said New Jersey Devil owner Jeff Vanderbeek, who oversees the 18,000-seat arena. “It doesn’t get any better than that for Newark and The Rock.”

When the band rocked Newark Symphony Hall in 1965, the cheap seats cost just $3.
