A string of failures

President Obama should apologize for hiding behind a Democratic banner.

Gas and electric costs have risen. Government health care has taken over. Obama couldn’t get cap-and-trade through, but has given the EPA power to overregulate big business to the point that it has to outsource to make money.

He holds sway over most of the media and has created class warfare. Issues such as Fast and Furious, the Middle East and voter intimidation are swept under the rug.

America is more dependent on foreign energy, and Obama has spent taxpayer money on failed green-energy jobs.

He has taken away the world’s perception of American exceptionalism — what no army has been able to do.

He says we should elect him and move “forward” — toward Eurpean socialism. How’s that working out for Greece? You need only look as far as California to see what can happen.

Nick Forrgione, Whitestone

To compare Obama’s and Mitt Romney’s levels of experience in the area of international relations is almost laughable. Obama had no prior global involvement when he entered office.

Since then, he has proved to be an absolute disaster — from insulting our allies and apologizing to people who hate the United States to grossly mishandling the deadly Benghazi attack.

Romney at least has had successful business dealings that have spanned the globe.

And when Obama said to Romney, “Every time you have offered an opinion on international matters, you have been wrong,” that was absolutely false and just more of Obama’s petulant baloney.

He does not like to be criticized or challenged.

Boy, am I relieved — Obama has a plan. He will create millions of jobs and reduce spending, saving trillions over 10 years.

Is it the same plan as four years ago: to cut the deficit in half, close Guantanamo Bay, maintain a transparent government and get lobbyists out of Washington?

Obama says he will build a strong middle class — is he going to rebuild the middle class he wrecked?

John van Acken, Bellerose

That the White House watched the attack in Benghazi in real time and did nothing is unbelievable. I would have moved heaven and earth to save our men.

How Obama went to bed and then flew off to Las Vegas the next day to campaign is beyond insensitive.

The incompetence shown by this administration is criminal.

Failed policies here and abroad have weakened our economy, our livelihood and our security.

Obama had likability in his favor, and this has diminished substantially. We now see a weak man who depends on his charm to keep a job he has done so poorly.

We need leadership, not a bad boy. Obama has had no balanced budget for four years, missed daily security briefings and jobs-council meetings and no stimulus quarterly reports in over a year.

Why are we paying him?

Romnesia? How about Obamanesia?

Obama must have forgotten that he promised to cut the deficit by 50 percent, took an oath of office to preserve and protect the Constitution and promised to fulfill the hopes of Americans.
