Michael Strahan knew they were dead serious about Halloween at his new morning-show gig when they told him to put on a bra.

“I knew they dressed up. I just didn’t know they did it to this extent,” he says. “It’s definitely a surprise.”

As part of the festivities this Wednesday on “Live! With Kelly & Michael,” Strahan will dress up as Tyler Perry’s character Madea, Oprah Winfrey and the president.

“I’ve never worn so much makeup in my life. I’ve never had my ears pushed out like that,” says Strahan, who also shaved his beard. “I’m the president, but I’m just bigger. I wanted to walk across the street to Starbucks, but they wouldn’t let me out of the building.”

Strahan has been on the job with Kelly Ripa since September, and he’s finding his own groove in a way that sets him apart from Regis Phiblin. He did a one-armed push-up on the air. He sang Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” And now he puts on that bra, a big wig and some padding to be both Madea (below, left) and Oprah. In heels, he’s 6-feet-7.

“I was in drag more than I was a man,” he says. “I was a very hairy-legged Oprah.”

There are so many costume changes on the Halloween “Live!” that several were pre-taped. Strahan says you will also see Kelly Ripa as Snooki, Honey Boo-Boo, Theresa Caputo, the Long Island Medium and the Tan Mom.

“You have to be good sport,” Strahan says. “Suck it up. Put on the costume. As long as it’s funny, we’re about making people laugh in the morning.”

Also, with the help of Sam, the makeup artist (guest-star George Takei), Bryan dictates what everyone’s costumes are going to be. However, when he insists on a ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’ Halloween theme, David (Justin Bartha) rebels and defiantly sports a Tom Brady costume. Meanwhile, Goldie (Georgia King) is still struggling with the on-going custody battle for Shania (Bebe Wood). Later, Clay (Jayson Blair) makes a shocking announcement that puts Jane (Ellen Barkin) over the edge.
