Most NJ Transit buses back in service

NEWARK, N.J. — Most New Jersey Transit buses returned to the roads Thursday for the first time since Sandy hit the state.

They’re picking up passengers on 80 percent of all bus routes.

Unlike the MTA in New York City, NJ Transit passengers will have to pay.

Passengers should expect delays and detours.

NJ Transit’s River Line light rail resumed service between Camden and Trenton on Wednesday afternoon.

NJ Transit train service remains suspended due to significant damage to the rail network.
