‘Sex’ sen. foe: Bare all

WASHINGTON — The Republican challenger to New Jersey Sen. Robert Menendez is calling for him to release travel records after allegations surfaced that Menendez paid two women in the Dominican Republic for sex.

Menendez, a Democrat, has denied claims made by two women who told The Daily Caller Web site that he paid them $500 each for sex around Easter.

“Senator Menendez must do the right thing,” said Meaghan Cronin, spokeswoman for the challenger, state Sen. Joe Kyrillos.

A recent poll had Menendez up by 18 points for Tuesday’s election.

“I think that New Jersey voters have their minds on things other than Senator Menendez’s sex life right now,” Jennifer Duffy of the Cook Political Report said.
