In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, the Nets released a number of instructions for fans trying to get to Barclays Center for tonight’s season opener against the Raptors:

Free Shuttle Buses: The Nets will offer fans free round-trip transportation, on a first-come first-serve basis. The buses will begin picking up passengers at 9th Avenue between 40th and 41st streets and will be departing every 15 minutes starting at 4:30 p.m. Fans can re-board the buses following the game on Atlantic Avenue and be shuttled back into Manhattan.

MTA Buses: The MTA will provide additional buses on all routes serving the arena both before and after the game. In addition to the 11 lines that stop in the arena’s vicinity, the MTA also is offering free service from Manhattan, pickup up at 54th Street and Lexington Avenue and dropping passengers off at 4th Avenue and Pacific Street near the arena.

Subways/LIRR: The D, R, 4 and 5 subway lines are running in Brooklyn and will stop at the Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center station with the A train stopping at nearby Lafayette Avenue. There is no subway service between Manhattan and Brooklyn. LIRR riders can take the service to Atlantic Terminal.
