Padma Lakshmi makes even shaving look glamorous in this month’s issue of Avenue magazine.
The “Top Chef” host talks to the mag about coming of age in the city. “I grew up in Carl Schurz Park. I had my first kiss behind Gracie Mansion,” she recalls.
She also opens up about losing her longtime love, billionaire Teddy Forstmann, who died last November at age 71.
“He’s certainly the best thing that ever happened to me,” says Lakshmi, 42.
“I don’t really feel like I’m single right now. I feel like the person I’m with is dead. I miss him every day.”
