A teary-eyed President Obama is seen choking up as he thanks young staffers at his campaign headquarters in Chicago, in a video that surfaced yesterday.

During the emotional five-minute talk — posted on his campaign’s official YouTube channel — Obama told those on hand that he was “really proud” of them, and then wiped a tear from his cheek.

The clip was recorded Wednesday, a day after he secured a second term as president by defeating Mitt Romney.

His senior adviser, David Axelrod, can be seen listening off to the side.

“I am absolutely confident that all of you are going to do amazing things in your lives,” he said.

The moment was punctuated with rousing applause.

“What you guys have accomplished will go in the annals of history,” Obama added.
