Todd Carmichael has risked his life trekking the globe to find the best coffee — the evidence is on his new Travel Channel series, “Dangerous Grounds.”
Still, he says, “The epicenter of coffee is Manhattan.
“The reason is that it’s a city where people pay attention to things — especially what they put in their mouths.”
On the day his series premiered this week (it airs Tuesday nights at 9), and right before jetting off to Colombia to continue filming, Carmichael took us on a grand tour of the city’s hot coffee spots and explained how every bean tells a story.
