Weiner ‘storms’ back to Twitter

Hurricane Sandy has blown Anthony Weiner back into the political chatter.

The former Congressman, who resigned amid a sexting scandal, has returned to Twitter for the first time since an unfortunate crotch tweet forced the end of his political career last June.

Weiner today posted a moving YouTube video containing a phone message left by a devastated resident over a montage of scenes from the hard-hit Rockaways, an area he used to represent.

It was his first tweet since he accidentally posted a picture of his bulging crotch, which he eventually admitted was intended to be a private message to a young woman.

Weiner also has been volunteering in the Rockaways with Chelsea Clinton and his wife Huma Abedin, a top aide to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, multiple sources confirmed.

Meanwhile Chelsea Clinton posted a picture on her own Twitter page of herself and Abedin in the Rockaways. The photo shows Weiner in the background, though his face is obscured by another person.

“He is so running,” one political source speculated. “Outerboro Anthony to the rescue!”
