A Brooklyn mother blamed her boyfriend for her 4-year-old daughter’s death, saying he beat the child because she wouldn’t do her homework, sources said yesterday.
Halii McCord was pronounced dead Tuesday at Brookdale Hospital, where doctors found bruises on her head and chest.
When her mother, Alicia McLaughlin, 21, was brought in for questioning, she pinned the girl’s death on her boyfriend, who was not the child’s father.
Cops said he has not been arrested, and also said McLaughlin’s story has been inconsistent.
Both she and the boyfriend have several prior arrests. An autopsy was scheduled for yesterday.
