WNBA legend Chamique Holdsclaw is wanted in Georgia for an incident where she allegedly fired a gun into her ex-girlfriend’s car after bashing its windows in with a baseball bat, according to TMZ.

Holdsclaw, a Queens native and Christ the King HS graduate, is regarded as one of the best women’s basketball players of all time. She was drafted first overall by the Washington Mystics in the 1999 WNBA Draft out of Tennessee. Holdsclaw is currently under contract with the San Antonio Silver Stars.

Holdsclaw’s ex-girlfriend Jennifer Lacy, also a WNBA player, told police that the drama unfolded when she saw Holdsclaw following her after she finished a workout at a local church. The police report says Lacy felt scared and called a friend who agreed to meet her at a nearby location.

Once Lacy got there, the pursuing Holdsclaw left her car and approached Lacy’s with a baseball bat. Lacy told police that Holdsclaw bashed in her car windows before pulling out a pistol, sticking it inside the car – with Lacy still in it – and firing it.

Holdsclaw allegedly fled the scene after the gun shot. Cops said they recovered a 9mm shell casing when they arrived.

The star, who never lived up to her promise in the WNBA, has had issues with mental health. She wrote in her autobiography “Breaking Through: Beating the Odds Shot After Shot” that she had struggled with depression throughout her pro career and attempted suicide on one occasion.
