A 23-year-old man was busted yesterday for allegedly fatally beating his girlfriend’s young daughter.
Chris Marshall, 23, told Brooklyn prosecutors he got into an argument over money with his girlfriend, Alicia McLaughlin, on Nov. 6, sources said.
He claimed the verbal dispute turned violent and the child wandered in and was struck accidentally, the sources added. Marshall did not admit to hitting 4-year-old Halii McCord,
McLaughlin told cops that Marshall had been in another room with the child.
She put Halii to bed, she said, and the next morning found she wasn’t breathing.
