Tenants $torm of rage

The management of 2 Gold St. did nothing to prepare for Hurricane Sandy and, as a result, more than 800 apartments will be uninhabitable until at least March, court papers say.

In papers filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, residents of 2 Gold and the adjoining 201 Pearl St. say managers didn’t do anything to protect their buildings because they were confident the structures could withstand the 12-foot river surge of a “100-year storm.”

But Sandy was more of a 1,000-year storm, the suit says, overrunning the floodgates with 14 feet of water at the buildings.

The suit seeks unspecified money damages for management’s “negligence.” A rep for the management company, TF Cornerstone, did not return a call for comment.
