A former Yonkers councilwoman was sentenced yesterday to six years in prison for accepting nearly $200,000 in exchange for changing her vote on two real-estate deals.
Sandy Annabi also was ordered to pay more than $1.4 million in fines and restitution.
Co-defendant Zerhy Jereis, meanwhile, was given four years behind bars on the same bribery and extortion charges.
A former leader of the city’s Republican Party, Jereis must also forfeit more than $200,000.
He and Annabi were convicted in March in Manhattan federal court.
Prosecutors said Jereis worked with developers to control Annabi’s votes on the projects, including the Ridge Hill retail-and-residential development. Jereis’ reward, the prosecutors said, was a $60,000-a-year no-show job.
Annabi’s lawyer insisted that she changed her votes because the developers had made concessions to help the city.
