Bx. ‘kidnap’ dad gives up

The on-the-lam Bronx dad accused of abducting his kids, shooting at their mom and torching her apartment has surrendered to cops, authorities said.

Fitz Edwards, 29, strolled into the 47th Precinct station house in The Bronx at 11:30 p.m. Sunday and gave himself up, according to law-enforcement sources.

Edwards, who has 10 prior arrests, allegedly fired one shot at the mother of his children while fighting with her inside the woman’s apartment at 5 a.m. Sunday, police said.

Edwards then allegedly set the Bronxwood apartment on fire and fled with their children, a 2-year-old girl and 5-year-old boy. He carjacked a Honda Accord and sped off with the kids, cops said.

The children were found unharmed several hours later in the abandoned car in Harlem, but Edwards had fled.
